DEDALICA
Impruneta / Toscana
Each piece is unique and made by the expert hands of master Sergio Ricceri of the historic Ricceri kiln in Impruneta. Endless combinations of finishes from ceramic glazes to special paints to exclusive hand decorations; custom effects and textures with the application of precious metals such as gold and silver for both ceramic and metal parts.
Terracotta Processing:
The artisan shapes the clay with the care and skill of the centuries-old traditions of the Florentine territory. In a first stage, a spherical mold is made on which the fresh clay is cast and its shape is molded. Given its high wateriness, the clay is subjected to natural drying under the craftsman's watchful eye.
The spheres are then finished on a lathe and fired in a kiln at temperatures above 1,000°C. The firing finally imparts the brick-red coloring and the aesthetic and resonant uniqueness sought.
Metalworking:
To enhance and preserve the craftsmanship of sound systems, Dedalica uses different types of metals to make structures and accessories.
The expert hands of the master blacksmith carve, hammer and emboss the raw metal to shape the structural elements that support and enrich the Terracotta parts, creating a perfect synergy between the two materials and finally a unique work of art that embellishes any room.
