Our vision changed when we perceived the loom as a spring and the fabric as a river. It didn’t happen long time ago. Reliving our history, retracing the steps, understanding how it has been handed down through three generations, makes us think to a river that flows beyond us and, perhaps, despite us. It took 70 years to understand the creative, constantly renewing power of our looms. There is a red thread connecting three generations and binds a family history, like the interweaving of warp threads with weft yarns: the material changes, the colors change, the titles change, but from the mouth of that loom always flows a fabric that seems to be born almost for necessity. We feel like custodians of an intangible heritage renewed through our hands. Because this is what we do: we give new shapes and colors to what has always existed. There is vitality in weaving. Weaves, ties, shapes, contrasts and designs. EVERY NEW FABRIC IS US PUTTING OURSELVES IN THE GAME AND THE AMAZING THING, IS THAT, JUST BORN, IT THROWS THE SEED FOR WHAT WILL COME NEXT, SEAMLESS, CONTINUOUS GENERATING FORCE. To think that, basically, today we weave as we did it 2000 years ago, feeding the dance of the threads that rise and fall to accommodate the textures that create the plot, it gives our everyday life a timeless essence. The awareness of history that belongs to us expands our horizon beyond this strong and intimate land of Abruzzo projecting us into a dimension of which we cant’t perceive limits of space and time. It is a true, vibrant story that reverberates every day with the beating of our looms.
